Pride Bops For Your Playlist

Hey y’all! Let me start off by saying HAPPY PRIDE MONTH! As always you know I got you with some tunes. Why not celebrate love and acceptance with some beautiful music? Let’s jump to it.

Honey by Kehlani

Now we know Kehlani never misses, and this song is definitely a Pride Month anthem. If you’ve never heard this song, first off, where have you been? But know if you’ve never really listened to “Honey” chances are you’ll grow to love it. Kehlani expresses her feelings for a girl in this acoustic song. Turn it up and fall in love.

Number One Fan by MUNA

This queer band always delivers bops. Don’t sleep on them! Sometimes you need a self-love anthem to boost you up and this is it. “Number One Fan” will have you feeling like a baddie, especially when Katie Gavin sings, “I get what I like because I do what I want”. This song will definitely have you jumping around and being your own fan. Always love yourself.

Lightning by Orion Sun

I’m a huge fan of Orion Sun. Her music makes me feel like I’m driving down the road as the sun sets and this song will make you feel just that. It’s about the overwhelming and beautiful feeling of being with someone you love. It’s electric like lightning (See what I did there?).

Love Supreme by Nao

From vocals to guitar this song absolutely slaps. There’s a funky rhythmic beat on this tune that I truly love and I think you will too. This is a beautiful song about learning and growing in your relationships and reassuring that everything will be just fine.

Waiting For by rum.gold ft.Jamila Woods

This track features Chicago-native Jamila Woods. “Waiting For” a soulful tune about having a crush but going back and forth with fear of messing up an established friendship while also being willing to risk it all for them. Isn’t that sweet?

I hope these songs make it to your playlists this month. Remember to love yourself and others!
