If you’re a college student like me, you probably get a pretty long winter break. Like, almost a month long. But what are you gonna do with all that time? The answer is finding activities to keep you busy. The first few days of doing absolutely nothing feel great, especially after a long semester of doing a LOT, but then the boredom sets in. That’s when a list of things to do will come in clutch. Here are a few suggestions you might want to consider.
One: Hang out with friends. Your friends who went away for college are back in town. Make sure to set aside some time to connect with them. You have lots to catch up on, especially if they went away to different states or even abroad. It might seem like a no-brainer, but don’t let that free time pass you by. You don’t want to forget to see the people you care about.
Two: Thinking up New Year’s resolutions. Sometimes it helps to be prepped for that special time of the year. Or, I should say, the start of a new one. The year 2024 is waaay closer than you think, and now’s the perfect time to come up with your list of goals for the next 12 months. This way you’ll know what you want to get accomplished when January first comes around.
Three: Read for pleasure. All semester you’ve had your head stuck in books that you “have” to read for test and term papers. Now that you have some time to yourself, grab a book in your favorite genre and get lost in the pages.
Four: Prepping for the new semester. Winter break is your chance to have everything ready when school starts back up again. Do you have everything you need? Notebooks? Pens? Does your laptop need fixing? Starting the spring semester prepared is a great way to face the oncoming tide of homework and lectures.
Did you find these suggestions helpful? What are you doing during your holiday break? Don’t be afraid to let me know!
