A Meeting of the Minds

My Chi My Future City Wide Meeting

Khari Humphries and Kathy Cullick are on a mission to create better opportunities for young people in Chicago.

Recently, there was a city wide discussion about how to serve and empower young people. Brought to us by DFSS and My Chi My Future, this was a fall networking event aimed to bridge connections to better the opportunities for Chicago’s young people.

We heard from important figures that are spearheading efforts designed to better the day to day lives of young people like Kathy Cullick, the Deputy Commissioner of Youth Services, and Khari Humphries, the Deputy Mayor Of Education and Youth.

Cullick is a newly appointed Deputy Commissioner on a mission to drive collaboration, bridge gaps between residents and resources, and deliver results that create safer, stronger communities. They’re excited to implement her plans to help young people across the city.

Humphries is part of the mayor’s personnel. According to Mayor Brandon Johnson, “Humphries brings more than 25 years of leadership experience in nonprofit work, social services, affordable housing, and community engagement to serve Chicago’s youth, families, and neighborhoods.”
