A Winter Wonderland In Englewood

On December 19th, the residents of Englewood were delighted as Englewood Branded, a local clothing store, partnered with Cole Bennett’s Lyrical Lemonade to present A Miracle on 63rd: Winter Wonderland. This was an event that gave out a variety of things for the kids including s’mores, hot chocolate, coats and gifts. They even had soup on deck–cream of broccoli and chicken noodle–to warm those cold bones.

The event took place in an open area at 1546 W. 63rd Street and gave kids a space to play; and play they did. Kids played catch with the Englewood Branded Bear mascot and they took turns riding around on a cool looking Englewood bike. The mascot, E-Dub, if you hadn’t guessed, is the super clean looking bear with sunglasses dressed as Santa. E-Dub also had a dope Christmas sleigh the kids could get in and pose for pictures on to capture the memories.

As an extra bonus, the event sponsors were also doing COVID testing, so this drive had a lot going for it. The presents were wrapped up and there were more than enough to go around. There was something for everybody–kids of all ages, boys and girls. Some of the gifts included skateboards and vanity mirrors.

I’m happy to report that this will be an annual event, meaning there will be a Winter Wonderland every year in Englewood. See you in 2022!
