Nigerian-American YA Author Tomi Adeyemi’s Children of Blood and Bone will have an adaptation of the novel made by Paramount Pictures.
Directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, director of The Woman King and Love & Basketball, this movie’s premiere date has yet to be released, but the filming is of great importance to Paramount Pictures. “The project has been a priority for the studio since 2022, when Paramount Pictures Motion Picture Group co-presidents Daria Cercek and Mike Ireland acquired rights to the trilogy in a competitive bidding battle,” said an article from Deadline.

In the meantime, Adeyemi’s third book of her trilogy, Children of Anguish and Anarchy, will be released on June 25, 2024, to hold us over and build up the excitement. To learn more about book one, check out our interview with Adeyemi when she was a debut author by clicking here.
I loved the book and can’t wait to see it on the big screen! We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge.
