If you’re unaware, singer Amber Mark is currently on her Pretty Idea Tour, and her Chicago stop was a must-see. When many people think of House of Blues, they think of artists like Tupac, Drake, SZA, and many other superstars—and Mark deserves to be added to that list.

Mark’s show took place yesterday and kicked off at 6:30 PM with opener Rebel. Rebel got the crowd settled in with her amazing vocals. Next to take the stage was Sherwyn. Sherwyn started out strong with his high-energy, dance-driven songs, performing “Goddess Reign,” “Infinity High,” “Fever,” and the fan favorite “Pop N Olive”. Sherwyn was just a teaser for what was still to come, as Mark went on to put on an excellent performance for a full hour and 30 minutes straight.

Mark looked amazing in a sparkling black dress, and as soon as she hit the stage, the crowd was yelling and cheering. Mark’s band was definitely on point for this show, and they didn’t miss a beat. Mark and her band had the crowd moving the entire performance. The floor was shaking, and so was the stage. Mark performed songs like “Don’t Remind Me,” “Sweet Serotonin,” “Mixer,” “What It Is,” and “Lose My Cool”.

Mark showed everyone how it looks to feel good and have a good time while embracing Black girl joy. Mark should definitely be on your watch list, so the next time she’s in your town, be sure to grab a pair of tickets to her show. You won’t be disappointed.
