It has been two long years since Trey Songz released Trigga and his fans have been eagerly waiting for new music. It seemed as though Trey had taken a break…until a very interesting trailer surfaced on the internet, entitled Tremaine The Play Boy. A digital take on the very popular VH1 reality show, Flavor of Love. Although this very interesting trailer raised eyebrows…it was obvious that this show was used to promote his new album entitled…Tremaine
Tremaine the PlayBoy follows a newly single Trey after he broke up with his girlfriend six months prior. He meets 20 beautiful women, hoping to find true love with one of them over the course of thirty days. The show is hosted by Draya Michelle and Steelo Brim. Each episode is a representation of the songs off his new album. If you’re interested in watching the show, new episodes air every Thursday on TremaineThePlayBoy.com
This past Tuesday hundreds of beautiful woman lined up outside of the Trophy Room in Chicago, Illinois to spend an evening with Tremaine. He released a few episodes of Tremaine The PlayBoy and we got the chance to listen to a few songs from his new album. This “invite only” night was hosted by WGCI’s very own, Frankie Robinson. She definitely got the crowd going by interacting with us and speaking on some interesting topics before Trey Songz came to the stage. There was an open bar and a plethora of food for guests to enjoy. Every monitor in the room showed Trey’s previous music videos and of course the sound of his music filled the room while alot of us sang and danced to the songs. The atmosphere was so amazing that you couldn’t help but enjoy it. His fans are the most beautiful and nicest people I have ever met.
Trey Songz blessed us with his presence around 8:30 pm and this time he looked different than the Trey we are used to seeing. A scruffier, more relaxed version of Trey Songz grabbed the mic and greeted the crowd and I must say he looks darn good with a beard lol 🙂 .
Frankie started her interview and reminisced about the first time she interviewed Trey and how Chicago will forever and always be a big supporter of his music. Frankie then got a little more personal and asked him the question of all questions…”Will you ever find true love?” Trey Songz simply responded…”If God willing.” That answer just let us all know that he isn’t looking, but he’s waiting on it. Frankie opened the floor to the audience and a few lucky ladies got a chance to ask some questions.
What is your ideal women?
Trey Songz: I need a significantly strong woman. My life and career can be very intimidating and I need someone that won’t crack under pressure…she can’t let things get to her. She has to love, protect, and nurture me.
What is your favorite meal?
Trey Songz: Soul Food! My grandma used to cook for me everyday and I need the same thing from my future woman.
What is your favorite song off of your new album?
Trey Songz: The 1st song…It’s called “come over”.
Of course there were many more questions asked, but let’s just say things got a little Rated R lol
After the audience got a chance to ask some questions, the listening party got started. We viewed the first episode of his fake-reality show and then followed with one of the songs from his album called Nobody Else But You. Trey sang along and gave us a concert every time he played one of his songs. He sounded amazing! He even went acappella for a few minutes!
After listening to several songs from Tremaine, I must say that the old Trey Songz is back! There was not one song that was played that I did not like. I love how creative he was with providing us with visuals for the story he was telling on his new album. Tremaine The Play Boy may not be real, but it sure is entertaining. I am extremely excited for his album to drop (March 24th) and I hope ladies are ready for TREMAINE!
