Soulful meets joyful, joyful and amazing’s grace because Anita Wilson can SING! Her newest single “Speechless” has gotten a lot of attention, and now it’s about that time that it gets yours too. If you haven’t already, play the video above and take a listen; if you already have, do it again. It wouldn’t make much sense for me to go into grave detail about my opinion of the song, because it speaks for itself.
After leading on Donald Lawrence’s album and singing back up for Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Marvin Sapp, Hezekiah Walker and DeWayne Woods, I can clearly see Anita paving the way on the road to becoming a dynamic solo artist. Chicago, you really better stand up for this inspiring woman, because as if establishing a brand in the gospel music industry wasn’t already overwhelming, Ms. Wilson even finds time to give back. Somehow, Anita finds time so serve on the music staff at Fellowship Baptist Church, as the Praise and Worship leader. I guess this is the child of proud parents who look at her and say, “I guess it paid off to be a preacher’s kid after all!” Can’t you tell this is the voice of God’s child who started singing at 5? I can!
