With us all cooped in the house, we’ve been missing out on socializing with our friends and loved ones. Though this can be frustrating, many companies and apps have given use new resources to communicate with people in a more advanced way, one of those companies being Instagram.
In response to the likely increase in social media usage, Instagram launched “Co-Watching,” a new video feature that allows users to share screens and view their feeds together.
As stated by Business Insider, “Instagram has long been testing this feature—it was spotted back in April 2019 — but the company decided to make it available amid the coronavirus pandemic to offer users more ways to “come together right now” during the time of quarantine and work from home.”
To use Co-Watch all you have to do is start a video chat on Instagram and tap the photo icon at the bottom-left corner of the screen. You’ll then be able to share posts you’ve previously liked and bookmarked, as well as suggest posts with those chatting with you.
Hope you enjoy the feature!
