Bethany Lozier Drops Advertisement Gems

Meta Session with the Pros

Meta Partner Manager Bethany Lozier stops by True Star to share what it’s like to work in advertising.

Sadly, True Star’s summer programs have come to an end, but not before we had a representative from Meta, or Facebook as most know it, come by via Zoom to teach us some new things.

Bethany Lozier, partner manager at Meta, is someone who works with advertisers with ad agencies to “optimize their paid media campaigns,” she said. She has worked for multiple ad agencies including the media communications agency OMD and global media agency Spark Foundry which have allowed her to work for brands such as Amazon, Gatorade, Red Lobster, Meijer, and more.

True Star’s freelance and digital marketing teams were flooded with information on how different ads are used and marketed toward specific audiences.

Lozier taught us about the pixel which she defined as “a little piece of code that lives on your website that will take into account when people have basically gone to your shop, they’ve checked out, they’ve abandoned cart, what they’ve actually purchased.” It’s basically the thing that connects audiences to appropriate ads that fit their interests, something especially important for the TS marketing team to understand.

This session was helpful because it gave more insight on how to market True Star’s ChangeChi campaign to the proper audience; a task that the digital marketing team is in charge of.

It was interesting to learn about the ins and outs of marketing and advertising from a professional who has an extensive background in advertising. Hopefully, Lozier can drop by again and give us some more useful tips about advertising and marketing in the future.
