Bey’s Ready to Tour!

It’s official, the Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin’ Circuit Tour will start this Summer!

Beyoncé took to social media to announce the tour at midnight on February 1st and altered the ending of her Beyoncé Bowl film on Netflix, which now shows a photo of her and confirms the tour. Beyoncé was originally set to make a special announcement at the end of January but refrained from doing so because of the current climate in the world, specifically the fires in California.

Fresh off the Grammy wins for Album of the Year, Best Country Duo, and Country Album of the Year she released the dates and which cities the tour will be stopping at. Cities include Houston, Chicago, Paris, London, New Jersey,  Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, and ending with Atlanta!

At first the album received a lot of attention because of the genre. Many felt that she was out of her league, criticizing her choice to make country music. Not only did they claim she was incapable of achieving success in this field, but they believed that a Black woman should not be making country music despite the influence African Americans have had on country music and culture. This lack of knowledge was one of Carter’s main reasons for releasing the album. Initially, this album was supposed to be Act 1 of a three part series, but she decided to release Renaissance first because she thought that’s what the world needed after the pandemic and she was correct!

Her last tour, Renaissance World Tour was a huge success and the Cowboy Carter Tour is sure to be a success as well. People have already taken to social media discussing their excitement for the tour and planning their outfits to go with the cute Cowboy theme.

The tour will begin in March and end in July. Pre-sale starts next week, February 6th! Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible, the shows are sure to sell fast.
