Simone Biles won her eighth all-around title during the U.S. Gymnastics Championships held in San Jose, CA.

Yesterday, August 28th, Simone’s Biles became the first gymnast male or female to win eight all-around titles. She secured her eighth title at this year’s U.S. Gymnastics Championships held in San Jose, California. Biles is the most decorated gymnast winning over 30 medals across the Olympics and the world championships. She is also the oldest female to do it.

Biles qualified for the U.S Championships at her first meet back, the 2023 U.S. Classics, held at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL. She finished first place in four out of the five events she competed in. “Biles finished in first place in the all-around, vault, floor routine and balance beam. She placed third on the uneven bars,” according to CNN.

Biles took a break after the Tokyo Olympics where she withdrew to focus on her mental health. Since then she has been living her best life. This summer Biles married her fiancé NFL play Johnathan Owens.

Biles and her husband Johnathan Owens.

Biles has yet to announce if she wishes to  compete in the 2024 Olympics.

“I like to keep (my goals) personal just so that I know what I am aiming for,” she told NBC. “I’m trying to move a little bit differently this year than I have in the past. So I think it’s working so far, so I’m gonna keep it a little bit secretive.”

This win secured Biles a place in the world championships, which are scheduled to start September 30 in Antwerp, Belgium.
