Black Excellence is Taking Over the Atlanta Falcons

There are four new owners that are taking their spots in the Atlanta Falcon franchise. These new limited partners are joining the organization’s ownership group and have secured the approval of the NFL’s full ownership at league meetings. This deal is not only massive in the sports industry, but these owners are displaying Black excellence in their latest business venture.

Rosalind Brewer (former Walgreens CEO), Dominique Dawes (Olympian gymnast), Will Packer (Film & TV Producer), and Rashuan Williams (Venture Capitalist) all bring unique attributes to the Atlanta Falcon franchise with their diverse background experiences amongst vast industries. Not only has their impact in corporate business, athletics, entertainment, and finance been extremely beneficial and resourceful, but they are constantly evaluating their enterprises and making a difference across communities. The process of securing this major industry deal is nothing less but extensive and precise throughout the screening process. According to atlantafalcons.com, “New limited partners for any team in the league are carefully vetted by the team, league office and the NFL’s Finance Committee, before being advanced to a full vote of the NFL’s 32 owners.” Each of the new owners expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity to take their influential impact to the next level.

In one of the most diverse and cultured cities in the nation, Atlanta is continuously pouring into the Black community and entrepreneurs are only advancing throughout various industries. As a city that’s known for being the “Black Mecca,” this business venture truly paves the way for students within the AUC and rising entrepreneurs who may not have thought a dream like this could turn into reality. This is only the beginning of Black owners securing stakeholder positions and legacies within billion dollar industry companies.

Hi! I can eat an entire jar of pickles in one setting and I LOVE to binge watch shows on Netflix. One of the most important quotes to me:
“and in that moment, I swear we were infinite.”
