The babies are here! Congratulations to Rihanna and Serena Williams on their new bundles of joy.
Williams and her husband River Ohanian welcomed their second child, a baby girl named Adira, on August 22nd. This was confirmed in an instagram post made by Ohanian along with an adorable family photo and video.
“Welcome, Adira River Ohanian,” he wrote in the caption. “I’m grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you’ve now given me another incomparable gift — you’re the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I’ll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister.”
Williams announced her second pregnancy at the 2023 Met Gala, where she debuted her baby bump while wearing a body-hugging designer gown. Later on Instagram, she confirmed the baby news by expressing her excitement over “the 3 of us [going] to the Met Gala.”
Rihanna on the other hand has been more private about this pregnancy but after weeks of rumors a source confirmed that Rihanna gave birth to another baby boy! The name of her baby boy has yet to be disclosed but is believed to start with an “R” like their big brother RZA.
Back in February Rihanna announced her pregnancy live at the 2023 Super Bowl. The internet went wild after sharing that she was expecting another baby with her partner rapper A$AP Rocky. Rihanna and RZA had their firstborn in May of 2022.
