The Arthur Ashe Kids Day is an annual event that is held every year in memory of professional tennis player Arthur Ashe who passed away in 1993. Ashe was dedicated to helping young people learn about tennis, a sport that he triumphed in. The Virginia native became the first black man to ever win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open and the Australian Open.
This year’s Arthur Ashe Kids Day was held in New York on Friday August 24th with Serena Williams, Mindless Behavior, Carly Rae Jepsen and more in attendance.
