Below you will find a number of scholarship opportunities along with their deadlines for application, that are specifically geared towards Chicago Public School students. These opportunities are also able to be located by going to the two links listed below:

1.  March 29, 2013 – CPS UNCF Scholarship ($10,000 per year renewable) – 2.5 GPA desire to attend an HBCU.  There are 38 participating UNCF HBCU’s. Don’t  delay! If you  won a Siemen’s HBCU partial scholarship, this would be a wonderful opportunity to increase your scholarship dollars!

2.  March 29, 2013 – George M. Pullman Educational Foundation Scholarship – Eligible applicants canreceive up to $4,000 towards their first-year’s college tuition. Scholarships are renewable for up to four years(eight semesters) of full-time undergraduate study. Must live in Cook County, and must have a GPA of at least 3.0.

3.   March 31, 2013  All Foster Care to Success  This scholarship is both merit and need based. Applicants must have been in public or private foster care, adopted or placed into legal guardianship from foster care, or orphaned for at least one year at the time of their 18th birthday. Range from $1,500 to $6,000 per academic year, and are renewable for up to five years.

4.  April 1, 2013 – Chicago Día de los Niños (CDDLN) Scholarship  Students must be college-bound seniors actively involved in their school or community; Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

5.   April 2, 2013 –  ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Math and Science Scholarship  –  Non-renewable $5,000 award. Identify as an African-American or Hispanic high school senior. Plan to pursue a science, technology, engineering or mathematics degree; have an unweighted GPA of at least 3.0.

6.  April 8, 2013 – CHCI High School Latino Leaders in D.C.  Qualified students will have the chance to learn how the political process works in the nation’s capital. All expenses are covered. Ninth, tenth and eleventh grades are eligible. Demonstrate interest in learning about civic engagement.

7.  April 12, 2013 – Edward G. Irvin Scholarship Foundation of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. – Offers scholarships to African-American males. To qualify, you must have a GPA of at least 3.0, and demonstrate active participation in extracurricular activities and / or community service programs. Awards $5,000 total over four years.

8.  April 15, 2013 – William J. Cook Scholarship Fund – Open to male high school seniors in Cook County planning to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study. Renewable awards range from $1,000-5,000.

9.   April 15, 2013 – Doty ENash Educational Assistance Scholarship ($1,000 non-renewable) – The objective of this Educational Assistance Fund is to provide financial support to incoming college freshman who exhibit a diligent commitment to fulfill life’s goals through education.

10.  April 15, 2013 – Jack and Jill of America Inc. – For African-American high school seniors.  Two scholarships of $2,000 will be awarded. One scholarship will be for a student with a GPA of at least 3.5, and one scholarship will be for a student with a GPA between 2.5 and 3.4.

11.  April 24, 3013 – Engineering Student Incentive Awards – Forty awards of $800 will be given to graduating seniors accepted to a 4-year accredited engineering school. Minimum ACT of 21 (or SAT equivalent) is required.

12.  April 29, 2013 – IRA Educational Foundation Scholarship Program – All Illinois ProStart® seniors may apply. Illinois resident must be pursuing a culinary or hospitality management degree at an accredited college or university.

13.  April 30, 2013  The Dora Gerlach Scholarship Fund – presents “A Feather in the Wind,” a scholarship program for CPS students. To be eligible you must have a GPA of at least 3.5 and have been accepted to an accredited college / university.

14.  April 30, 2013 – UAPB Chicago Alumni Chapter Scholarship – Five $1000.00 scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who will be attending the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in the fall. An ACT of 18 or higher; SAT score of 800 or higher and GPA of 2.5 or higher is a must.
