Well folks, it looks like COVID is here to stay. Experts are saying that this virus will become a household item amongst North America just like the flu, or the common cold. It seems like COVID has bobbed and weaved past every single bullet scientists have thrown at it, meaning the only thing left to do is derail its effects when it comes back around every year.
It has been said that the reason why COVID is so hard to cure or beat is because it’s made up of all the qualities that come along with the common cold, so it’s been able to withstand every treatment and possible cure due to the fact that it’s so good at it’s job. The plan for the future is to treat it just like we would the flu or influenza. As far as the masks, we will eventually be able to take them off. I’m so excited for when that time comes because I know I’m tired of going back in the house because I accidentally left it on my dresser. However, experts do suggest wearing one around the season where the virus is hitting the hardest just to be safe. Since the masks do have some sort of benefit in preventing the spread, I think it’s a good idea for us to keep them on occasionally. I would advise people to also take safety precautions during those times because you never know when The Rona can sneak up on you. The testing of the virus will still be available at doctor’s offices, but not in the way that it is now where we’re used to seeing testing sites everywhere.
COVID has been more active in the winter, so this is being pronounced as it’s predicted season in the same way as the flu hits during those times as well, according to the Today Show website. Along with that comes the possibility of an annual shot being administered to prevent catching the virus. There’s opinions saying we may need to take the shot every year for several years in order to prevent severe disease. Others are saying they may come up with something good enough to permanently keep the deadly effects of COVID off. All these ideas of course are just in theory until experts see the lasting effects and gather more information about this virus. However, there are good odds on these predictions based on experts working in these fields every day to come up with more ideal ways of living, which I am grateful for. I think it’s safe to say the state we’re in right now is absolutely crazy.
As of now, everything is up to fate and we need to take heed in these updates as a way to prepare us for the future. The virus that we see now will eventually get minimized into becoming a regular household name, but it is indeed here to stay for the foreseeable future. According to experts, we won’t have to worry about the deadly effects once it’s minimized, but it is now another illness that we have to avoid every year. To sum up everything that we’ve been updated on, they’re telling us to stay ready so we don’t have to get ready.
