Diddy’s Appalling Apology

Many people owe Cassie Ventura an apology; Sean “Diddy” Combs is still one of them.

Following the release of the hotel surveillance footage showing Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura, Combs has come to social media to issue an apology.

“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you go to do that,” Combs started. “I was f—– up and I mean, I hit rock bottom – but I make no excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” Combs stated in the apology video.

He repeatedly made mention of “that video” instead of actually confessing to what he had done even though millions of people have seen it with their own eyes.

He went on to disclose that he went to therapy and rehab in addition to asking “God for his mercy and grace.”

Many don’t believe the apology, partially because he didn’t ever direct it to Ventura herself. The apology also came two days after the video footage was released although Combs, as well as his lawyers, initially denied abuse claims from Ventura.

Many people owe Ventura an apology for accusing her of lying about her experiences with Combs as a way to get money unnecessarily. It shouldn’t get to the point where a victim has to relive their trauma over and over while the entire world watches, in order for people to believe them.

We’re keeping Ventura in our thoughts and hope she continues to heal during this time.
