The volunteers for the Democratic National Convention (DNC) came out strong with over 8,000 volunteers gearing up for this year’s historic DNC!
The DNC recently held a welcome event at Wrigley Field for all volunteers. Kenwood Academy High School kicked off the event with a drumline that included their school flag and dance team. The volunteers entered in waves ready to do all they could to support the Democratic Party. All volunteers received a meal ticket, a shirt, and a volunteer pass. Volunteers, both Democrats and Non-Partisan, came out to ensure a successful convention week.

It was an amazing sight to see. To witness a range of ages, races and genders come together to perform their civic duties while simultaneously having fun was heartwarming. The seamless exciting event was produced by minority owned business, 5423 Productions.
“As a woman and minority owned business, 5423 Productions was proud to produce the DNC Volunteer Reception at Wrigley Field alongside our colleagues at Revel Global. The goal was to create an enriching experience that reflects the culture and diversity of Chicago while garnering excitement and appreciation for the volunteers. We hope the volunteers left feeling energized and proud of the work they will be doing this week,” said the Chief Creative Officer of 5423 Productions.

The event had several special guests including state Governor, J.B. Pritzner and the Vice Mayor/Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr. The energy of the crowd was infectious as they chanted “We fight we win,” the catchy slogan repopularized by Vice President Kamala Harris’ and her running mate Tim Walz.
This has been one of the most interesting moments history has seen. Be sure to encourage voters young and old to get registered and to vote in this upcoming election! For more info on voting and how to become a registered voter visit www.usa.gov/voter-registration.
