Dope Artists You Need To Download

There are a million different artists in the world but only a small amount of them manage to take the music industry by storm with their talent. These artists are some of those people. If you don’t know who some of them are consider this your introduction. You’re welcome.

Tierra Whack

The 23-year-old alternative rapper is a force to be reckoned with. Her music takes you through an adventure of oddball beats and raps as you journey through her debut album “Whack World.” Whack is cold when it comes to rapping. Not too long ago she killed her performance on the “Colors Show” with her latest single “Unemployed.”

Lil Nas X

“I’m gonna take my horse to the old town road I’m gonna ride till I can’t no more! I got the horses in the back…”Lil Nas X has literally redefined country music and has done one of the biggest collaborations of the year (with Billy Ray Cyrus) by bringing country music to rap. Or did he bring rap to country music? However you want to look at it, the popularity of “Old Town Road” hasn’t shown any signs of fading yet. Lil Nas X has truly made a name for himself in the music industry with this song.

Rina Sawayama

Outside of the Japanese British R&B singer bringing her music style to the table, Rina Sawayama also represents the LGBTQ community of color. She speaks of her pansexuality in a lot of her songs like “Cherry.” Sawayama also pays homage to her culture and urges others to stay true to themselves despite what society says is acceptable. I recommend checking out her song “Flicker.

Billie Eilish

At age 16 Billie Eilish performed at Lollapalooza and at Coachella at 17. She’s the fourth most streamed artist in the world. She’s a true powerhouse outside of her gorgeous vocals she’s one pop artist who knows what she wants to do. Eilish has immense creative control when it comes to her music. I highly recommend checking out her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Do yourself a favor and add these artists to your playlist. You won’t be sorry.
