Doubles Trouble: Gauff & Siniakova are Doubles Champs

Coco Gauff and Katerina Siniakova show off their trophy for the cameras after recently winning the Grand Slam championship in doubles at the 2024 French Open.

All eyes have been on Coco Gauff since she emerged into the world of professional tennis in her teen years.

Eyes continue to be on the young tennis star as she recently won the Grand Slam championship in doubles at the 2024 French Open partnered with Katerina Siniakova. Beating Italians Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini, this is Gauff’s first time winning doubles at a Grand Slam. Last year, she won the Grand Slam championship in singles.

The 20-year-old champ took to her Instagram page to express her joy for this accomplishment. The caption said:

i’m so happy to have won my first ever doubles grand slam with @siniakovakaterina 💙💙 it’s been a fun two weeks here in Paris and i am so thankful to be able to finish it with a W! thanks everyone for all of the kind messages !!!

Gauff is showing us more than just her talent and dedication; she’s showing us that your only real competition is yourself.

When it comes to achieving goals and improving in life, it’s important to focus on your lane and not anyone else’s. When you only have competition with your previous self, you can’t do anything but grow and evolve.

Gauff’s ranking also rose as a result of this epic win. She’s now number two in the world tennis rankings, according to UPI.

Congrats to Gauff and Siniakova on their win! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of these young ladies.
