Dwight Howard Gets To Prove If He’s Still Super

Dwight Howard is the man that used to be called “Superman,” but those were some years ago, when he was in his best form. Now, it’s like he’s been forgotten. But he’s getting a second chance, and it’s with one of his former teams.

Being a center from the Los Angeles Lakers is a huge role, especially because of the history of centers the Lakers have had. They’ve had all-time greats including Kareem Abdul-Jabaar and Shaq. Howard doesn’t have to fill their shoes, obviously, but he definitely has to make an impact for the team. He is also joining a very stacked team that includes LeBron James, aka “The GOAT,” and Anthony Davis. This signing is following an injury that occurred to Demarcus Cousins, who was going to be their center, but he tore his ACL.

The Lakers ended up having a meeting and training session with Howard and decided to give him a second chance. I think that he’s a great addition, since he’s more of the athletic type center which is what the Lakers need since they’re a faster paced team. He also is strong, which is what a center should be. In his first time with the Lakers, he didn’t really do much. However, he did promise five years ago that if he ever gets a chance, he’d redeem himself to the people of L.A.

I truly wish Howard the best, and I hope he does well in the league. He definitely fell off, but I think he still has some in the tank. I hope to see him win a championship as well since many players don’t always get to that point; but from the looks of it so far, Howard finally has a chance with this team.
