Journey
For 21 years True Star has been dedicated to serving young people, and we believe that the youth are the city’s heartbeat. This annual From The ‘Go Fest 2025 is their stage and moment to thrive in their authenticity. Presented by True Star Media and The Metropolitan Peace Initiatives, this year’s fest is powered by our amazing sponsors Sprite, Jordan, Vitamin Water, and BMOA Chicagoland.
This marks our 5th annual festival, bringing together talented creatives for a day filled with music, community, games, fashion, art, dancing and more. Did we mention it’s free with an RSVP?
Every From the ‘Go Fest is special, but this year we’re bringing extraordinary energy. It all goes down on Saturday, July 26th from 1:00 PM -7:00 PM on the DuSable Museum campus. True Star’s very own podcast hosts – Sullivan Grace Anderson, Gary Langfield Jr., and Kennedye Harris, – will be hyping up the crowd during a day filled with live performances from Chicago artists like LittyGang Twins, Dej Monae, OutPastMidnight, Little M.U. and many more. Plus a very special guest and Chicago legend — Twista.
Come vibe with us and tune into sets by the city’s hottest DJs. Take part in the beauty of networking and connection through interactive activities, local vendors, food trucks, giveaways, and so much more. Whether you’re a performing artist, creative, or just here to witness and support, this is your moment to shine.
From The ‘Go Fest is much more than a festival, it’s a movement and a promise to #ChangeChi by amplifying youth voices and building safe and expressive spaces for this generation.
