Gary Celebrates the Jackson Legacy

The Jackson Street block party was a great success, and Gary, Indiana truly did an excellent job honoring the Jackson legacy.

The recent event kicked off on what would have been Michael Jackson’s 67th birthday and continued Saturday at Roosevelt High School in Gary. Comedian/Actor Chris Tucker, the King of Pop’s close friend, hosted the block party. He shared wonderful stories, jokes, and dances, making the event very enjoyable. There were also many vendors and engaging activities for all those in attendance.

We were fortunate to have legendary artists and DJs, including DJ K Ceaser, DJ All Owt, and DJ Cheech Beats. On Saturday, Grammy Award-winning singer Deniece Williams and DJ Kid Capriperformed. The event concluded with a tribute to Jackie and Marlon Jackson.

I hope Gary hosts this event again next year, and I’m sure it will be even better!
