One of Chicago’s summer traditions is to host the annual Taste of Chicago, which annually attracts millions of residents and tourists might be in trouble. Some of Chicago’s alderman have been suggesting that the famous summer food festival, the Taste of Chicago, should be eliminated. Why? Due to loss of profit (Chicago lost over 1 million dollars last year alone!) from the festival and the giant decline in attendance.
Last year, the mayor tried to revive the festival by cutting it down from 10 days to 5 days and moving it away from 4th of July weekend. What do you think? Should this Chicago summer tradition be eliminated forever or can it be revived??
