So when we all think about YouTube stars, most of the time we think about popular adults as well as popular YouTube couples like Dearra and Ken. It turns out that the highest paid YouTube star in the world is a 7-year-old elementary student who makes millions each year by doing toy reviews.
Ryan, who has a YouTube channel known as “Ryan ToysReview,” does popular reviews for a numerous amount of toys that every kid may want. But listen, since Ryan is only 7, his YouTube channel is ran by his family who have shot and produced videos for his account since March of 2015. Ryan’s success all started when one of his videos in July 2015 went viral of him reviewing a box that contained over 100 toys from Pixar’s Cars. The video reached approximately 935 million views. In fact, Ryan has now jumped from being number 8 on Forbes to now being number 1 this year on the Forbes list for the YouTube stars that make the most money.
But listen, the grind doesn’t stop there. Business Insider reported that Ryan ToysReview generated about $22 million in pretax income from June 1, 2017, through June 1, 2018, according to Forbes. That was up from $11 million the year prior. According to Business Insider, this puts Ryan ahead of popular YouTube star Jake Paul who earned $21.5 million. Ryan has even scored a deal with Walmart where he has a toy line called Ryan’s World, which is featured in over 2,500 Walmart stores and online.
Ryan has switched up his game plan on his channel where he not only does toy reviews, but he also reviews kid food products. According to Forbes, Ryan’s success has earned him 17 million followers with a combination of 26 billion views.
Kinda makes you wonder why you didn’t think to do something like this when you were a shorty, huh? But then again, maybe it’s not too late.
