Jermaine Cole, yes, J. Cole, is hooping again. This time in Canada.
After playing for the Rwanda Patriots in the BAL in 2021, the 37-year-old rapper will look to suit up and join the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the coming season as a guard. The season begins on May 25th.
Cole won a Grammy in 2020 for Best Rap Song (“A Lot” by 21 Savage featuring J. Cole) and has several BET Hip Hop Awards to his name. He also has six platinum albums and produced songs for artists like Kendrick Lamar, Janet Jackson, and Young Thug.
Sources: J. Cole is signing contract with the Scarborough Shooting Stars (@sss_cebl) in the Canadian Elite Basketball League, the rap star's second consecutive year playing professionally. CEBL training camp began this week, with season opener on May 26.
