Last Day to Apply for Student Loan Forgiveness

Today is the last day to apply for Student Loan Debt Forgiveness. Have you applied yet?

Today, Tuesday, April 30th, is the last day to apply to have some or all of your federal student loans forgiven courtesy of the U.S. Department of Education.

According to the Associated Press, borrowers of Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) loans, Parent PLUS loans, Perkins loans and Health Education Assistance Loan (HEAL) Program loans “must consolidate first to take advantage of the one-time adjustment.”

Loan consolidation requests will leave borrowers with one loan instead of multiple, which is the first step in having loans entirely or partially forgiven.

“Those changes have already led to debt cancellation for more than 930,000 people and $45 billion in relief,” according to CNBC.
