If you haven’t already heard the news, singer Ariana Grande and her fiance, comedian Pete Davidson, recently broke up, and apparently, sources told People Magazine, this isn’t the first time they called it quits. They officially announced the split on October 14th. Their relationship has been pretty up and down, especially since the death of Grande’s ex, Mac Miller in early September.
The ex-couple got engaged shortly after the breakup of Grande and Miller and only a few weeks into their relationship. The singer and comedian got matching tattoos and everything! Everybody knows the one thing you never, and I mean never, do in a relationship is get a tattoo with bae’s name or anything symbolizing the relationship. Let Grande and Davidson be a lesson to us all: Don’t move too fast and get ahead of yourself just because you really like someone.
I see relationships turn out like this a lot among people my age. The “I love yous” come way too fast, and as quick as they were together, they’re broken up. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying it’s bad to really like somebody early on in the relationship, but don’t make any drastic moves that you’ll ultimately end up regretting later.
Before you jump into a relationship, make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into. Don’t rush into something thinking everything is as it seems, analyze the situation, but most of all, take it slow and enjoy.
