In the spirit of the new year, I’ve decided to participate in the 2024 ins and outs trend. If you’re unaware, the ins and outs list is one where you compile what you’re bringing into the new year (ins) and what you’re leaving out of your life moving forward (outs).
Creating this list was an enjoyable experience. It allowed me to reflect on the things in my life that I appreciate as well as the things I’d like to change. Here are some of the things I’m bringing in and leaving out of 2024.
This new addition to my life has a double meaning. Not only do I want to travel more, but I’d also like to exercise more and be more active to improve my health overall.
More Self-care & Me-time
The older I get, the more I realize the importance of self-care and having time to yourself. The world is always moving at a crazy speed and it can sometimes become overwhelming, but taking a moment to do something for yourself makes it easier to keep going.
I’m indeed a bookworm and have been since I learned how to read. Reading is one of my favorite pastimes. While it’s entertaining, it’s educational as well.
When finals came around while I was still in college, I turned to energy drinks and made it a habit to drink them often. After researching the ingredients in those drinks, I wanted to stop drinking them because of how unhealthy they are. I stopped in December and haven’t looked back since and my body has thanked me for it.
Eating Out Often
As a part of becoming a healthier version of myself, I want to minimize the amount of fast food that I consume. You are what you eat, and I want to intake the best foods possible and fast food isn’t that.
I’ve been a chronic procrastinator for my entire life. It’s a rush to do something at the last minute and it creates unnecessary stress. Discipline over motivation any day. We’re leaving the spirit of procrastination in the past.
What are some of your ins and outs for 2024? Let us know! We hope that you’re able to stick with all of your goals for this year and beyond!
