Every year, you have those same people who make New Year’s resolutions, follow through with it for the first week, and then they never seem to remember what their plan was. Regardless, if you’re that kind of person or not, you deserve better for yourself in this new decade. I have a really great feeling about this upcoming decade and I think that this is the time for my generation to do everything they strive to achieve fearlessly. You owe it to yourself to be everything you want or dreamed of with no toxicity standing in your way. Here are my top three goals for the decade that you may think are worth trying too.
You have to eliminate any doubt you may have of yourself in your mind. You are your worst critic and biggest supporter. Doubt is a silent, but prominent dream killer. You have to decide for this upcoming decade not to limit yourself. Anything you want to do, go for it. Anything you want to take a chance on, do it. It all makes important experiences for you to learn and grow from. Regardless of whether it works out or not, don’t you want to be able to say that you gave it your ALL? In reference to your dreams, relationships, friendships, and more, take healthy and beneficial risks. You’ve got this.
Remove All Toxicity
Sometimes, what can be labeled as toxicity in your life is not easy to see, let alone let go of. This has definitely been a difficult task for me to recognize. Toxicity can be everything you’ve ever wanted, someone you love, or a friendship you’ve held on to for years. It takes strength to be able to look at something toxic and release it, especially if you may not have wanted to. Your mental health is incredibly important and shouldn’t be sacrificed for anything. You’re stepping into a level of maturity when you’re able to recognize toxicity and let it go, so let it go, for good. There’s no room for any 2019 toxicity to be brought into the new decade. This is your fresh start.
Appreciate The Value Of Time
Time is a tricky thing. We may think we have all the time in the world to accomplish those dreams, make amends with those people, and to do everything we’ve ever wanted to do, but we don’t. We don’t know when our time will be finished on this Earth, so that’s why it’s important to always do what you want and say how you feel while you can. Appreciate the essence of the time you have and share that with loved ones. Be genuine, kind, and positive. Love with no regrets and accomplish those dreams you owe to yourself. Don’t take advantage of the essence of time, because like the saying goes, it waits for no one.
