The Barbie and Drizzy dynamic duo are reuniting once again.
After fans waited in anticipation for Drake’s newest confirmed album For All The Dogs, they were in much dismay to realize that the rumored release date was inaccurate. This iconic rapper released the official album cover for the album that was designed by his five-year old son, Adonis, so fans assumed from speculation across social media that this past Friday would be the moment where they received new tracks from Drake and Nicki Minaj. However, Drake has officially addressed the rumors with a special message to fans that he “promises” the album release is nearing soon.
Once Minaj was confirmed to appear on a track/feature, fans immediately took to social media to express their excitement for these legendary rappers to top the charts together once again. Since their latest collaboration in 2021 on the track “Seeing Green,” fans have been putting their requests in for the duo nonstop. Drake confirmed to fans during his current “It’s All A Blur” tour that he had a surprise for them up his sleeve. According to Billboard, Drake blessed the concert fans with album info saying, “I’m gonna give away one thing for you tonight, because I got a lot of love for Detroit. So I’m gonna have to tell you that me and Nicki Minaj did our first song together in, like, a really long time. I got a lot of love for her.” Their collaborations date back to Drake’s “Up All Night” and “I’m So Proud of You,” to Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life” and “Truffle Butter.”
Although fans and critics may have to wait a little while longer to review his highly anticipated eighth studio album, Drake reassures that this newest project might be just the sound that everyone is waiting for. After confirming the delay for All The Dogs at his recent tour stop, he stated to the crowd, “I know everyone is upset that I didn’t drop the album last night, but I didn’t say the album was dropping last night. So don’t be mad at me. It’s not going to be that much longer though, trust me. I’m finishing it up. You know I’ve got shows every night. But I promise you, For All The Dogs is on the way. If you ever loved anything that I have made in the past, then I promise this album will be for you. I promise you it will be worth the wait.” I guess that’s a nicer way of putting not to believe all the blogs and hype you may hear, right?

Regardless, Nicki Minaj and Drake’s collaboration is coming very soon for fans. Maybe he’ll do a surprise drop similar to Beyonce’s self-titled album, we’ll have to wait and see.
