The United States is growing increasingly fed up with Trump and his tactics. The nation has felt divided—rich versus poor, the people versus ICE. It’s only President Trump’s first year in office of his second term, and already, nearly half of the voters who supported him now regret their decision.

This past Saturday, the organization No Kings led a nationwide protest, drawing an estimated 8 million people across major cities including Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

In Chicago, crowds began gathering at Grant Park around noon, and within minutes, thousands had joined. The march officially began at 1:30 p.m. and continued peacefully until 5:00 p.m. Protesters united in solidarity against ICE, Trump, abortion restrictions, unfair labor conditions, and in support of gay rights—sending a powerful message that they would not honor Trump as a king or president. Many attendees wore costumes, carried creative signs, and some chanted calls to “release the Epstein files.”

In response, Trump stated, “Saying there are no kings is constitutional, and Black women in Chicago are wearing MAGA hats and want me there. They don’t care how I do it, just help us out.”

The world seems to be waking up, and tensions are rising. Some fear the nation may be heading toward conflict with its own president—a situation that could even lead to martial law. With three years left in Trump’s term, the people’s message remains clear: We must fight to preserve our Constitution and resist any form of dictatorship.
