Quavo and Saweetie Take Over GQ

Quavo and Saweetie have been the hip hop industry’s IT couple for the last few months. These two rappers have been all over social media as the new #RelationshipGoals. I did not think this couple could get any cuter, but then the July issue of GQ Magazine was released.

This beautiful spread titled, Quavo and Saweetie’s Love Language was captured by New York photographer, Pari Dukovic and styled by GQ’s fashion director, Mobolaji Dawody. I love the way they both captured both sides of the color spectrum. As you can see some pictures are brighter and features greens, blues, and purples. Then there are darker toned photos that feature, oranges, reds, and browns. Dawody was able to stye them in away that showcased their individual style, but also style them in away that showed their chemistry.

The two sat down with Gerrick Kennedy and gave the tea on how their love started. This issue covers every corner of their relationship. The transparency between the two is amazing and it will give readers a chance to take a peek inside their relationship.

I can’t help but be reminded of Lauren London and Nipsey Hussle’s spread they shot before Nipsey’s passing. I love when GQ captures the chemistry and love between Black couples. It isn’t very often that the love between two Black people is captured in a positive light. This is definitely  something for me to look forward to. I can’t help but wonder which IT couple is next.

I rep the 219, Indiana. I'm a wardrobe stylist and owner of Vintage By. B. I love shopping for pieces that are different and that I know nobody else will have! But one thing I hate about shopping is going broke doing so. Throughout the years of me working in retail, I have picked up a lot of tips and tricks for saving LOTS of money when shopping. I also go against trends by Vintage shopping. I find pieces that I can pair together to create works of art. You can call me a penny pincher, but I'll look BOMB while pinching my pennies :)
