If you’re a book lover like me, you’re no stranger to reading slumps. As much as I love to read and imagine new worlds, sometimes I just can’t bring myself to do it. Whether it’s because of a busy schedule or just not finding the right book, reading slumps can be difficult to come out of. That’s why we’re here to help. Here are a few of my favorite short reads to get you out of your reading slump and meet your reading goals again.
- The Yellow Wallpaper x Charlotte Perkins Gilman
- 30 pages
- Gothic/psychological fiction
- Blood Is Thicker x Paul Langan & D.M. Blackwell
- 156 pages
- Realistic fiction
- The Giver x Lois Lowry
- 180 pages
- Dystopian fiction
- Milk and Honey x Rupi Kaur
- 226 pages
- Poetry/literary fiction
- On Earth, We’re Briefly Gorgeous x Ocean Vuong
- 256 pages
- Epistolary/coming-of-age novel
Hopefully this list helps you with easing back into reading more consistently. They’re short, straight to the point and just plain good. I hope you enjoy reading these books as much as I have. Happy reading!
