SZA, Megan Thee Stallion, and Normani have all become household names for the bomb music and images they’ve been putting out. All their hard work has been rewarded through awards, RIAA certifications, and now, a magazine cover.
The three women can be seen on the cover of Rolling Stone’s “Women Shaping the Future” issue of the magazine set to be on stands March 3. The picture was photographed by Campbell Addy and features the theme “Hell Bent For Leather.”
This is the magazine’s second issue of this theme. Not only does it feature SZA, Meg, and Normani on its cover, but the magazine confirmed that the inside will include in-depth profiles of the ladies on the cover along with interviews of other women such as Regina King, Natasha Lyonne, Stacey Abrams, and more that have yet to be disclosed.
Normani and Meg were clearly excited for us to see the content and they took to Instagram to express this excitement. “We been shaping the future,” Normani wrote. “#womenshapingthefuture,” Meg captioned the photo on her Instagram.
I love the fact that Black women who create different types of music and have relatively differing followings are all being recognized and highlighted for their amazing projects. I hope to see more things like this in the future. Happy Black History Month!
