SPOTLIGHT: Cam’ron

I know that most already know Cam’ron for his place in Dipset, but I think he deserves to be recognized for everything he has done since then.

Just in case y’all were wondering, Killa Cam is doing very well in comparison to a lot of the others rappers that were out in his musical era. He’s been making a few music cameos and interesting business moves.

Like Teyana Taylor, Cam’ron got together with Reebok and made some hot sneakers. The first pair are called Purple Haze. My favorite aspect of the shoe is how unique they look, and how they aren’t an everyday shoe. What I dislike about the shoe is how easy it is to get dirty. With a suede finish and a chrome back side, walking in grass with these on is not the move. camron-weed-sneakers-420_j81bwf

The second shoe from Killa Cam was inspired by his famous pink fur coat look, the Ventilator Supreme Fleebok 2s. The pink camoflauge laces and Dipset details are my favorite parts of the shoe. Pink is also my favorite color so when I couldn’t get them I was disappointed, but none the less I found a way.

A reason why I bought both pairs of the shoes isn’t because of the look, or just to be wearing Reeboks. I bought them because they were designed by Cam’Ron. Not only was Killa Cam apart of one of the most notorious organizations in the music industry (Roc-A-Fella Records), Cam made and still makes some of my favorite songs.

My favorites have to be Oh Boy and Hey Ma as well as his role in Paid In Full. But I’m still keeping my ears and eyes to Cam as he features  with artists like Nicki Minaj and Dave East, and stars on Love and Hip Hop New York.

Overall, I’m proud that Cam’ron has started to focus on expanding his brand in merchandising among other things.

Keep going Killa Cam!
