Stars Step Out in Style

Flo Milli was among the most fashionable stars of the night during the BET Awards.

On a night filled with Black joy, laughter, and top-notch performances, artists and entertainers dressed their absolute best for one of the biggest moment within the culture. It was at this year’s BET Awards where Black excellence was acknowledged and celebrated, and personal was expressed to the fullest. Here are some of the most memorable looks.

Keke Palmer and DivaGurls

DivaGurls with Modern Destiny’s Child Vibes

Keke Palmer was seen on the carpet along with her new girl group DivaGurl, consisting of Monet, Sade, and Lashay, taking us back in time to the 2000s. The DivaGurls all uniquely incorporated shades of silver, light blue, and white into stylish outfits that include mini skirts, bralette tops, mini dresses, and flowy patterns that all scream Y2K.

Halle Bailey

Bailey Sisters Leather & Black Sequins

Our favorite sisters graced the blue carpet, with two black looks – that were similar, yet different—undeniably complementing one another. Halle Bailey, the people’s princess Ariel, wore a backless leather, liquid-like mermaid-style gown. Motherhood looks beautiful on her.

Chloe Bailey

Chloe Bailey gave us everything and more in her halter-style black sequined Monet gown.

Tyla

Tyla and Tiger Print

From her hit song “Water,” to her viral dance solo that has fans all over TikTok trying to move like Tyla, the Best New Artist Award was well earned. Tyla’s looks were back-to-back hits, whether she’s performing, on a talk show, or attending her first Met gala wearing sand. The artist wore a black

Flo Milli

“Never Lose Me” Flo Milli

The highly talented and underrated rapper, Flo Milli, is finally beginning to gain the recognition she deserves upon dropping “Never Lose Me.” The song became an internet favorite, widely loved, and rapped by fans all over. You may know her from the viral song, but true fans rap Beef Flomix at least 5x a day at minimum. Flo is seen wearing an all-black lace mini skirt, neckpiece, and bralette top with shoes that wrap around her legs.

Taraji P. Henson

Dipped in Gold Hostess Taraji P. Henson

The lovely host, who opened up the award show with a parody of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” set the scene for this year’s looks, with multiple outfits. From a red snakeskin bustier with brown pants to match as she played a banjo, to her white beaded mini dress, fan’s favorite, as well as mine, was when she went full Cleopatra on us. She wore an intricate custom gold Balmain gown, accessorizing with Tiffany & CO. Jewelry.

Shaboozey

Modern-Western Shaboozey

Taking men’s award show fashion to a whole new level, the genre-blending artists blended modern and Western. He rocked a tan Tom Ford tuxedo with a unique cinch and a white pocket square adding an elegant touch. He paired the look with a bolo tie, chunky rings, and bangles, showing off his inches with tan hair accessories to match.

Honorable Mentions:

Gunna

Gunna: Wearing a white vest and glittery striped flare pants, paired with silver accents and accessories.

Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo: Wearing a high-shine tuxedo jacket and pants by Ferrari Style, paired with a diamond necklace and earrings.

Coco Jones: Wearing a semi-sheer, elegant crystal olive green Retrofete gown.
