While I love the holiday season, I cannot wait for summer to arrive thanks to the new trailers for the Transformers and Spider-Man movies.
Transformers: Rise of the Beast will be set in 1994 and takes place in Brooklyn, New York, and will also travel to Peru. Transformers: Rise of the Beast will follow the themes of the 1996 Sci-Fi show “Beast Wars: Transformers.” This movie will introduce Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons into the Transformers movies.
Rise of the Beast stars In the Heights and Hamilton actor Anthony Ramos. He is set to act alongside Golden Globe award winner Micheala Jae Rodriguez, Peter Dinklage known for his role as Tyrion Lannaster in “Game of Thrones,” Grammy winning-artist Tobe Nwige, and comedians Pete Davidson, and Liza Koshy. Steven Cable Jr., known for his work as the director of Creed II is directing the film.
In the trailer Biggie plays in the background giving the movie a true NYC feel. Ramos, who grew up in the Big Apple, has a personal connection to this film. “‘Beast Wars’ was my joint, that was the one for me. I was [in front of the TV] every week watching ‘Beast Wars,’” Ramos said during a virtual press conference. “So when I read the script, I saw we were gonna have them in the movie, my head almost exploded off of my body.”
The movie is set to hit theaters June 9, 2023. Paramount Pictures also confirmed it will be the first in a planned trilogy.

The other movie trailer that has me fiending for summer is the long awaited one from SPIDER-MAN: Across the Spider-Verse. Fans have longed for the trailer for the film since it was announced that Spider-Man will return at the end of Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse. The movie will follow teenager Miles Morales, the Spider-Man from earth 1610. The film is set to take place after Spider-Man: Into the Spider Verse following Miles as he grows as Spider-Man and travels to a universe full of variants of Spider-Man.
Shamiek Moore will reprise his role of Miles Morales, along with singer Haliee Steinfeild with her role Ghost Spider, and Emmy nominated Brain Tyree Henry with his role as Jefferson “Jeff” Davis Miles father. Joining the cast is actor, producer and comedian Issa Rae who will play Spider-Woman, Daniel Kaluuya, who recently starred in the Jordan Peele movie NOPE, will take on the role of Hobart Brown, and Jake Johnson, known for his role as Nick Miller in the Fox sitcom “New Girl,” will play Peter B. Parker.
SPIDER-MAN: Across the Spider-Verse is scheduled to hit theaters on June 2, 2023.
These films are sure to be blockbuster hits, and I can’t wait to watch them! Are excited about these movie trailers? Shoot me a message and let me know.
