Sun Beat the Sky 79-73

In the recent loss against the Connecticut Sun, Kahleah Cooper finished with 15 points and 3 rebounds.

The Chicago Sky just can’t get it together, now dropping out the playoffs picture. The Connecticut Sun defeated the Sky 79-73 recently, boosting they’re record to 22-10 while the Sky drop to 12-20.
The Sky is now the ninth seed in the WNBA with only the top eight going to the playoffs. This was a game the team really needed. The Sparks could now take the 8th seed with 13 wins, so the Sky still has a chance, but would have to finish very strong.

Sky guard Kahleah Cooper stated, “We are out of the playoffs if that don’t spark you then I don’t know what will. It’s just like a rebound either your getting back or getting the rebound. Even me I have to do better. I have to shoot better. Some days you’re there, and others you’re not.” Cooper finished with 15 points and 3 rebounds. Another key player for the Sky in this game was Elizabeth Williams who scored 14 points, 3 rebounds and 6 assist.

Coach Emre Vatansever stated, “We played well but we still have to work on things. The Suns are
number three in the league and they are a high skill team. We cut that down and we were able to compete. We put up 100 points when we hit our threes and we shot 14 percent this game. We can’t win like that. The Sky will play again Tuesday against the Storm. Hopefully they can get back on the right track.
