Rapper T Star got turnt at the recent release party for her new EP “From This Point On.” The party was filled with close family, friends, and fans and took place at Columbia College where T Star is also a student. While she performed songs from her EP, guests grubbed on soul food and drinks from a dope juice bar.
T Star got her start in music when her cousin gave her the opportunity to sing on a song titled “Model Walk.” She said once she got into the studio she fell in love with the creative process and has been doing music ever since. According to T Star, her new EP is inspired by all of the obstacles that she has had to overcome since she has started in the music industry. “I often times had struggled with being confident, conflictions with being ready, and knowing that I was ready,” she said.

For her, this EP was her confirmation that music is her purpose and that this is what she was created to do. The title was inspired by her knowing that no matter what happens in the past, you must move forward and push through from this point on. “‘From This Point On’ came from just basically knowing that no matter what happens in the past, whatever you know that you’re supposed to do, you’re going to do it from this point on.”
Although the upcoming artist was ecstatic to release her EP, she told TSL she had to endure a few obstacles in order to get to this point. “It was a lot of issues with production which kept it on hold, but I think that everything has its own timing and now is the time.”
After the EP is released T Star has plans of getting garments from her clothing line released in Columbia College’s Shop Columbia store. It will be debuted towards mid-November, the artist said. Once her clothing line is released, she will soon start working on her first album.
T Star’s new EP “From This Point On,” can be found on music streaming sites, Apple Music, Tidal, and Spotify.
