Whether it’s a birthday, an anniversary or just a regular old Tuesday, it’s hard for some people to scope what their partner might enjoy as a gift, regardless of how long or little you’ve been with them. An amazing way to figure out what might be the perfect gift is through your partner’s love language. Knowing how they love and what makes them happiest is always useful when getting them the perfect gift. If you don’t understand the different love languages too much, no problem! Here’s a list of gift ideas for different love languages.
This one is easy. Receiving or giving gifts as a long language can be anything, so it all just depends on your partner’s hobbies and interests. Maybe if they’re into drawing or painting, get them something to practice their craft with, or if they are currently reading a good book or watching a good show/movie, get them the next book in the series or get them something related to the show/movie.
Acts of Service
This might be a little harder to figure out. Acts of service can range greatly, from something small like putting dishes away to cleaning a large part of their home, or organizing something for them. Oftentimes, gifts for people that love acts of service are things that can make their daily life easier. Whether it’s to help organize their closet or office space, or just something small like a jewelry organizer, try to get something that makes your partner’s life a little easier, or something that they’ll use and interact with often.
Another tough one of sorts is physical touch, holding hands, or hugging, cuddling, kisses, and more alike. For this case, I’d recommend things that your partner can wear and cuddle with when you’re not around. Things like sweatshirts, fleeces, fluffy blankets, or a weighted blanket. This could even be stuffed animals, special pillows made for snuggles, or a cheesier option could be a cologne or a perfume that reminds them of you.
Spending time together is crucial for any kind of relationship, but even more so if your partner thrives off of quality time. Getting something that the both of you can do together is a perfect gift. It could be a paint by number kit, a large puzzle of sorts, or even a card game meant for couples who enjoy quality time. There are also cooking kits or specific journals meant to be a timeline of dates and other things that you and your partner can do together. The choice is yours! Getting something the two of you could do together is always a great way to get lovely quality time together.
Words of Affirmation
For those who like to be reminded that they’re loved and cared about, something with sentimental value is the best option. Engravings are a good choice, but sometimes they can be a little pricey. If jewelry is what you’re looking for, get a couples’ bracelet set. There are many different kinds to choose from, ranging from cheap and affordable to pricey and classy. It could be more than just jewelry though, and these gifts are often the most heartfelt, right from the heart and hand made or bought and customized. Just a quick search on Amazon will give you countless ideas for these sorts of gifts.
