So far, the NFL season has been a crazy one, but it’s definitely been a good one. There have been many teams that are terrible with only one win more than halfway through the season, but two of those teams actually added a number to their win column. Another team beat the reigning MVP’s team, spoiling his coming back from injury. Here are some of the biggest upsets of Sunday.
Miami Dolphins beating the Colts
This was actually a very surprising one, considering the Colts have been a great team all year. However, their quarterback Jacoby Brissett went down last week due to an injury and didn’t play this week. Brian Hoyer took over for him and did a terrible job. He threw three interceptions against one of the worst teams this year, and this cost them the game. They lost to Miami 16-12, and I think they should reconsider their quarterback for next game.
Atlanta Falcons beating the Saints
New Orleans seemed like a Super Bowl contending team coming into this game, since they haven’t lost a game since week two of the season and have been on fire ever since. They then faced the Falcons who are terrible this year, with a record of 1-7 coming into the game and leaving this game 2-7. The Saints had no answer for the Falcons, and it leaves us asking if the Saints are actual contenders for the championship?
Tennessee Titans beating the Chiefs
The Titans were never seen as serious competition because they’ve had an up and down season. They had to change their QB and now that they have, it seems to be working. Patrick Mahomes was returning from injury, but he still had an amazing game. He threw for over 400 yards and three touchdowns, and that still wasn’t enough. The Titans blocked the Chiefs game-tying field goal with a couple seconds left on the clock to win it.
Like I said, the season has been crazy, but in a good way.
