The Chicago Sky is frustrated after their recent loss to the Minnesota Lynx. It was a hard fought battle throughout the whole game but the Sky just couldn’t keep up. The Lynx sealed the game with a finishing score of 88-79.
The Sky had a run at the end being down by only four with 35 seconds left, then a bad pass by Courtney Williams unfortunately killed everything. The Sky really needed this game for playoffs contentions. They still have hope, but it’s a tough road ahead now facing two of the best teams in the league — the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty.
The key player for the Sky was Kahleah Cooper with 23 points. The frustration can be seen on Cooper’s face in the press room as she stormed out after a reporter ask a question that Cooper did not like. Elizabeth Williams also played a good game with 18 points and 9 rebounds. The Sky bench was terrible, with them only scoring 12 points to help boost the score for their team. On the other hand, Lynx player Napheesa Collier was a hand full for the Sky, putting up 29 points and 9 rebounds in just 27 minutes of play.
Here’s wishing the Sky better luck in their next game. They are going to need it.
