TLC BioMovie Cast Released – On The TLC Tip? Or Hat 2 Da Back?

A while ago rapper MC Lyte spoke on the decision of casting Left-Eye as Lil Mama, but what do you all think about KeKe Palmer as Chili and Drew Sidora as TBoz?

The final decisions for the Bio-Movie of legendary, all-female group TLC, have been released. The decision was released about a week ago, and after letting the choices marinate, watching a bunch of videos, reminiscing about Left Eye’s Documentary and putting the “All That” theme song on repeat… I’m not really sure how I feel about this. It’s not so much about skin color or features for me, but more so the amount of respect. I’d appreciate a well noted cast that is respected for what they’re going to be portraying. Now, a lot of people have an issue with Lil Mama, but I don’t think it should be for the reasons people are giving. At the end of the day, Lil Mama has always stayed true to herself and never changed who she was for industry, a trait we definitely saw in Left-Eye. I appreciate that she has always been able to hold her head up high and for that, I think she deserves the chance to rebuild her career.  On the other hand, I don’t want to google TLC and see anyone other than T-Boz, Left Eye and Chili popping up. I’m just not ready. I’m selfish and protective of my memories when it comes to them and I’m just not ready to share them or have to associate them with anyone else because NO ONE, but THEM, is worthy! This is just one of those things I’ll believe when I see it… With that being said, I guess I can’t wait for this film to be released. I was 7 years old the day that Left-Eye passed and I remember it like it was yesterday. I was a huge fan back then and I’ve grown to appreciate their style, music and sound. TLC wasn’t just a group, they were, are and will forever be a culture in their own era. I love seeing it lived on, but I won’t dare stand to see it be mocked or disrespected – not by a cast, not by production companies or by fans. A little doubt on a project may be just with these ladies need; Regardless, I’m going to support until they give me a reason not to and I will definitely be watching… Will you?
