#TogetherAtHome Giving Life During Lockdown

While the coronavirus has led many to being stuck indoors celebrities have taken it upon themselves to brighten our spirits. Singer John Legend partnered with World Health Organization and Global Citizen to help the hashtag #TogetherAtHome go viral. Legend and other entertainers who take this challenge are going online and giving a live performance for fans to help lift spirits during this stressful and encourage them to practice social distancing.

Legend even tagged Miguel and Charlie Puth to take part. Puth accepted the challenge and gave a performance too. In the comments many people have begun tagging their own faves to take part in the challenge. Fans have been putting out the word that they want to see live performances by  P!nk, Beyonce, Maxwell, Shawn Mendes, and J Balvin to name a few.

Famous dancer/actress Debbie Allen offered a free online dancing class on Instagram Live for people to join too. I find that what these celebs are doing is very important and helpful with keeping many of us in good spirits despite what is taking place in the world. Bakari Reese, a senior at Gwendolyn Brooks College Prep, stated, “I think it’s cool that fans of these celebrities will have a chance to experience a concert from home. It’s definitely helpful in making us feel better.”

If there is anything that this virus has done it has managed to bring us all closer together worldwide. Continue to stay positive guys.
