TrapxART Features Chi-Town Talent

Chicago Edition

Last Wednesday TrapxArt found there way back to Chicago to put on another great show. This is my my second time attending and I knew it would be a night to remember.

WHAT IS TRAPXART?

WE ARE A COMMUNITY OF CREATIVES AND A PLATFORM ENCOURAGING SELF-EXPRESSION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP.

WE TRAVEL THE WORLD LINKING UP ARTISTS, MODELS, DESIGNERS, PHOTOGRAPHERS, ATHLETES, INFLUENCERS AND TASTEMAKERS.

If you are not familiar with their events, you are truly missing out. This event is filled with talented artists and designers from Chicago who are eager to share their work with the rest of the city. This 21 and up event is the perfect place to network and have fun.

This year, the show was held at Happy’s Bamboo Bar and Lounge in Lincoln Square. It was a smaller space than last year, but the area was filled with college students and I know they were able to appeal to a different crowd. The warm and welcoming atmosphere was paired with trap music, and it was the perfect combination. I have been to a lot events and I have sometimes felt like I was out of place, but this event always proves to be different. There were so many clothing designer selling exclusive paintings, which I loved, because before this show I was not familiar with these brands. The artwork was more than amazing and I was able to catch some artists creating right on the spot. Speaking with these artists made me realize that the city of Chicago has inspired so many people to create.

I rep the 219, Indiana. I'm a wardrobe stylist and owner of Vintage By. B. I love shopping for pieces that are different and that I know nobody else will have! But one thing I hate about shopping is going broke doing so. Throughout the years of me working in retail, I have picked up a lot of tips and tricks for saving LOTS of money when shopping. I also go against trends by Vintage shopping. I find pieces that I can pair together to create works of art. You can call me a penny pincher, but I'll look BOMB while pinching my pennies :)
