On May 7, True Star will be commemorating 22 years of servicing Chicago’s emerging adults with our True Star Rising Celebration, an annual event that brings together the supporters, alumni, partners, and community members who make this work possible. This year, the night gets even more special with new inductions into the True Star Legacy League, a hall of fame recognizing alumni who took everything they learned from True Star and ran with it. The 2026 honorees are Brittany Hardaway, Carlton Spencer, and Cindy Beasley, three stars who are out here making a real impact in schools, government, media, and business.
General admission is complimentary, and every guest is encouraged to make a gift in support of True Star’s mission. Whatever you can give goes directly toward creating real opportunities for Chicago’s youth. Come experience the energy firsthand, see the work up close, and be part of something that’s been building for over two decades.
The event will take place at True Star headquarters, 4655 South King Drive, Suite 203, Chicago, IL 60653, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
