#TrueTopicsPodcast: Is Everyone Leaving Twitter for Threads?

Listen to podcast on Spotify

On July 1st the famous Elon Musk tweeted out that non- verified users on instagram would be limited to reading  just 600 tweets a day.

Immediately after on July 5, 2023, Meta launched what they like to call “A New Way to Share with Text” through their new app called Threads.

Very similar to the model of Twitter, Threads allows users to write a series of post in text format which also allows pictures and gifs.

With recent changes to Twitter, now known as X, some are wondering will X be left behind and Threads be the new wave.

According to Meta,

“Threads is Meta’s first app envisioned to be compatible with an open social networking protocol – we hope that by joining this fast-growing ecosystem of interoperable services, Threads will help people find their community, no matter what app they use”
which was posted on their website message board July 5, 2023.
