Welcome to the 90’s

5 trends from the 90’s that are back!

Fashion is constantly repeating itself and the 90’s was a time of freedom for teenagers and young adults to express themselves openly through clothing. Well, the 90’s are back and in full effect! These specific trends have been worn by your favorite entertainers, actors, and seen on runways everywhere.

Here are 5 trends from the 90’s you can expect to see more and more of.

Round Shades

Who doesn’t love a pair of sunglasses? I know the large framed glasses are my favorite to throw on for a day at the beach, but these glasses are perfect for a night out on the town. These oddly shape glasses can add jut the right amount of edge to your look. You can also catch Beyoncé in a pair every time she steps out.

This ugly-cute shoe was very popular among teens in the 90’s. Throw on your mini skirt or wide leg jeans and you’re ready to go. These are the perfect alternative for platforms shoes. They are way more comfortable and way easier to walk in.

Mini Back Packs

Designer bags have taken over, but if you’re like me and like to keep it simple and affordable, mini backpacks are the perfect fit for you. This miniature version of a full back pack was the perfect accessories back in the day, but now the modern versions will bring a casual and relaxed vibe to your look.

Brown lipstick

The lipstick craze has been a lot less crazier since 2016. I remember when people would wear brighter colors, but now shades of brown and nude are more common. Brown lipstick brings a calmer and inviting look to your face. Add some lip liner for that extra pop and you will be a total 90’s babe.

Who remembers those grunge days? Literally everything was oversized and dingy looking. I think the point of this trend was to appear to look like you just rolled out of bed. BUT thankfully this entire look isn’t back. Flannels can be worn in so many ways. Wear it as a shirt, dress, or even wear it around your waist.

I rep the 219, Indiana. I'm a wardrobe stylist and owner of Vintage By. B. I love shopping for pieces that are different and that I know nobody else will have! But one thing I hate about shopping is going broke doing so. Throughout the years of me working in retail, I have picked up a lot of tips and tricks for saving LOTS of money when shopping. I also go against trends by Vintage shopping. I find pieces that I can pair together to create works of art. You can call me a penny pincher, but I'll look BOMB while pinching my pennies :)
